New Lens

I can now scratch a HUGE item off my wish list.... Canon Zoom 100-400mm 4.5-5.6 USM L IS ! It took me a while to get this lens but now that I finally have it, I can't wait to get it out in the field and water to test it!

I have taken some really nice pictures with my Tokina Professional Series 80-400mm, but nothing compares to having the best glass in the industry. I will post some photographs soon with the new piece of equipment. I am heading out this weekend to use it.

She's a beast.Bet you could spot a tick clinging of a racoons arse from 500m with that lens.
My Sony dsc-707 is on its last legs due to ending up at the bottom of a lake last year from a rather drunk canoeing trip and am busy doing my home work on a few models.yet again I leave your blog with envy.....When will it end!

Nice, that lens is next on my list. I went with the 24-70mm 2.8l usm this past summer. It L series glass sure does feel nice in the hand.

Holy smokes Jay - monster L glass! It doesn't get any better than that for pulling things in close. Can't wait to see your first photos using that bad boy.
