My Black & White Tribute To The Greatest - Ansel

I have always been inspired by the black and white photography of Ansel Adams. I have focused more attention on b&w and monochrome over the past year. People ask me if I photoshop the tones in my images.... my tones are adjusted in camera. Some may ask why or even think it is easier to manipulate the image in the post process. Maybe....

Very well composed images Jay. Certain white-lensed gear couldn't crank out monochrome of that quality in-camera, that much I'm sure of!

Nice work. Fun Fact, Adams spent weeks in the darkroom working on his prints. Dodge and burn baby.

Bravo! I love the last one!

Good stuff Jay! The only thing missing is a legendary story about how you forgot your light reader, and had to remember the luminosity of the moon to get the ligth settings correct. Or something like that that I heard once at an Ansel Adams gallery showing.

Just so you know, I frequently poach your stuff for my laptop desktop. Hope you don't mind. I get a lot of comments on it too.
