Fly Fishing Southern Utah - Putting In Work
There was no better way to celebrate the 4th of July weekend...
Colvin and I hit the 4x4 trails of Southern Utah. It was the best fishing trip I have ever had. A memory that will be remembered for a long time. It is hard for me to try and find words that describe the wonderful time that I had fly fishing to large Brooke Trout.
The trout were unreal. The scenery was breath taking. We had the place to ourselves for 3 days. The fishing was surreal! I loaded up two rods. I made casts on top and watched the water errupt. Stripping Calibaetis Emergers with the other stick, the fishies couldn't resist.
It was great hanging out around a fire, sharing experiences and bouncing feedback off a friend and photographer. Brett threw down on this trip... "Take No Prisoners". The images he captured behind the lens are some of the best I have seen. Be sure to check out his write up on www.flytowater.com
I still can't get over the "Fins of Fire"!
The Release...

Jay it wont be long before we see your work in many of the major fly-fishing publications around the world. These are truly world class images mate. You have a style and class un to your own. Wow! you kick ass brother.
I've been lurking for a long time now but I can't resist any longer...
Would you mind if I save some of these on my computer to use as desktop/screen saver images?
Thanks fellas.
Blender, have at it. Thanks for stopping by!
Good stuff Jay ... Those are some sweet brookies!
Leaving comments on a blog like "wow, totally amazing" and "again, you've done a great job and made me jealous" just are so "yesterday."
So, I'll give you the chance of a lifetime....fly me out there and I'll tell you these things AS YOU TAKE THE PICTURES!!! no more waiting to get home and post them. You'll know RIGHT THEN how great the photo was, since I'll be doing as my kids do and saying "let me see" milliseconds after you snap the photo.
And, unlike TV "one time offer" offers, this offer stands, forever, so if you need to take your time, do so....just make sure you say "yes" in the end!
PS - wow, totally amazing
The subject matter is always fantastic but you excel at presenting them in a spectacular way. Just great.
Is it considered OCD on the fliers part when you match your reel and line to the fish you will be throwing too. It turns out that reel makes that a great pic because of the way it does match. Cool.
